I’m home! After 4.5 weeks, a gazillion kilometres, a trillion photographs and so many fabulous new friends I have finished the Camino de Santiago.
I have so many photos that I am trying to sort through, so stay tuned and you will see them on here shortly.
For now, here is a picture of me on day 2 . This is at the top of the Pyrenees in France, just before crossing the border into Spain. We were advised not to take the top route by the pilgrim office when we started our walk (there is lower route that skips some of the more dangerous road), however the views were just too tempting. So we went up and got stuck in a blizzard! I would still go that way again in a heartbeat though. Yes is was stupidly hard (at one point I got stuck mid stride as the wind was so strong I couldn’t move!), but the views were amazing!
And no I didn’t develop a hunchback – that is my pack underneath my poncho 🙂 Although I did feel a little like the mystics from the Dark Crystal when I added my walking sticks!
Hasta Luego 🙂
